DVD's compressed MPEG2 video cannot be easily edited, so it is imperative that you edit the video before converting it to DVD, and professional editing can be expensive. We can output your video, film, etc to an external HDD for editing if preferred. Some low end operators are suggesting that you can edit DVD Video. However, by just renaming the VOB file to an MPG, you will end up losing quality as the editing program needs to transcode (uncompress) and then recompress the footage. This will degrade image quality. Cinefilm You edit and splice and we transfer your precious memories to high quality DVD. We can even supply the necessary 400ft reels, leader film and other consumables. |
