9.5mm film sales, processing and transfer packages

First introduced in 1922, 9.5 mm film (also written 9,5mm) was the first amateur film format introduced. It essentially made use of a 35mm film strip cut into three and reperforated.

Initially, the 9.5mm film format was produced so that home users could hire and take home to watch the same movies that they saw at the cinema. The format was especially popular in England (through Pathescope) and France (through Pathe).

The distinguishing trait of 9.5mm film is that it has the sprockets running down the centre. This has some distint advantages and disadvantages. The main advantage is that the film width available to exposure is almost as wide as that of a 16mm frame. The main disadvantage was that the centre sprocket meant that if there was aproblem with the film or the projector it could destroy the film images. The cameras had problems with lighting due to the centre sprocket letting in light. The format also had an inventive system for titling using a special notching system, a title could be left on the screen for 10 seconds before playing the rest of the movie.

DVD Infinity is now able to offer 9.5mm sales, processing and transfer packages. Your 9.5mm film is bought, processed and transferred through DVD Infinity in Australia. Processing is done manually to avoid scratching. Transfer is performed by DVD Infinity's world renowned scanning systems.

The packages include:
Sales of 4 x 30ft 9.5mm Ektachrome 100D films
Processing of 4 x 30ft Ektachrome 100D
