What are all these buttons on my DVD remote? What do they do?
 

 

DVD Remote

  DVD Power
      turns DVD Player on and off.

  DVD Open and Close
      opens and closes the drawer of the DVD Player.

  DVD Pause
      pauses the DVD Player so that you can see a still of the movie or so that you can go and get a coffee.

  DVD Play
      plays the DVD movie or selects from a menu.

  DVD Stop
      stops the play.

  DVD Reverse
      rewinds the DVD play whilst viewing. Press again and it will speed the reverse up. There may be a number of speeds for reverse depending on your model.

  DVD Fast Forward
      fast forwards the DVD play whilst viewing. Press again and it will speed up. There may be a number of speeds depending on your model.

  DVD Last Chapter
      jumps back to the last chapter of the DVD. Just like books have chapters, so do DVDs.

  DVD Next Chapter
      jumps forward to the nextchapter of the DVD. Just like books have chapters, so do DVDs.

  DVD Mute Sound
      turns the sound on and off.

  DVD Arrow Left
      moves the cursor left at a menu.

  DVD Arrow Right
      moves the cursor right at a menu.

  DVD Arrow Up
      moves the cursor up at a menu.

  DVD Arrow Down
      moves the cursor down at a menu.

ZOOM
      zooms in and out on a certain section of the screen.

MENU
      accesses the menu.

SLOW
      plays the movie at slow speed.

STEP
      steps through the movie one frame at a time.

VOL -
      decreases volume.

VOL +
      increases volume.

R/L
      changes from right to left speaker and back.

AUDIO
      changes audio track.
